Technora has high tensile strength, high modules
and excellent resistance to heat and chemicals, especially acids and alkalis.
Technora is made from copolymers and is produced in the different process
from PPTA(poly-paraphenylene terephthalamide)
- High tensile strength : 28g/de(24.7cn/dtex, 350kg/mm2),
8 times as strong as steel and 3 times as strong as fiberglass, polyester
and nylon of the same weight. This property willserve significantly
to reduce weight.
- Fatigue resistance : Technora has more excellent fatigue
resistance than other high tenacity fibers.
- Dimensional stability : High tensile modulus, low
creep and low stress relaxation. Due to low thermal shrinkage and expansion,
it has good dimensional stability.
- Heat Resistance : Decompositng temperature is 500
C. it can be used at 200 C for a long time, and even at 250 C it maintains
more than half of its tensile strength in the normal temperature.
- Chemical resistance : High resistance to both acids
and alkais, as well as organic solvents. It is also stable against sea
water and steam, and shows and good hydrolytic resistance.
